// about
Background
Hi! I'm a Controls Engineer with over a decade of experience designing and leading the development of LabVIEW based control systems. My work has spanned high voltage power supplies, lasers, vision-based measurement systems, and most recently, the control infrastructure behind a large-scale plasma fusion experiment.
Alongside my engineering work, I've spent time mentoring developers and building team processes. Before moving into industry, I taught engineering courses as part-time faculty at San Jose State University. I've also branched into web and app development, which has given me a broader perspective on software design.
I hold an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University and I am a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD).

Work Experience
February 2022 – Present
Lead Control Engineer, Infrastructure & Diagnostics
TAE Technologies - Foothill Ranch, CA
Leading a team of 3 LabVIEW developers building real-time control systems for a large-scale plasma fusion experiment. Responsible for technical direction, framework architecture, infrastructure components, and cross-team collaboration. Personal development is focused on critical systems including high voltage power supplies, gas injection, lasers, and experiment-wide deployment tooling.
February 2018 – February 2022
Senior Control Engineer
TAE Technologies - Foothill Ranch, CA
Designed and developed ~20 high-speed control and data acquisition systems for the same plasma fusion experiment. Integrated National Instruments and third-party hardware. Served as a primary point of contact between operations and control systems.
February 2014 – February 2018
Lead Software (LabVIEW) Engineer
Angle Systems - San Jose, CA
Led all software development for multiple vision-based measurement systems. Worked closely with customers to deliver products that allowed them to speed up and increase efficiency in their measurement processes. Validated software through gage repeatability and reproducibility studies and provided on-site and remote support.
August 2011 – February 2014
Project Engineer
Angle Systems - San Jose, CA
Part-time engineering role held while completing my M.S. at SJSU. Began LabVIEW development by building out data processing modules that were integrated into vision-based measurement systems. Also contributed to early company infrastructure by deploying the company's website.
